My brother, his family and Mom made the trek to Missouri a few weeks ago. Being from NY, where the summer is moderate, they decided to pick the one hot week we had this year to visit! We kept them cool with trips to the pool and a movie in the air conditioned theater. We spent a day in St. Louis and despite it being about 100 degrees that day, it wasn't too bad.....My brother has two young daughters and a wonderful wife. Their oldest, Lexi, is a hoot! She is on all the time. Very witty, very funny. And everyone is a long lost friend. When we were waiting to eat dinner in St. Charles, I saw my GIS sales rep sitting outside. As soon as I said hello, Lexi was sitting next to her telling her all about her day in St. Louis. She is very chatty, but in a wonderful way. Their youngest Brianna is a cutie too. (She's my Godchild). Every morning she'd come up and look for me, then Aunt Aimee to say good morning. Of course, Aimee was always asleep, but she never gave up hope.
It was a wonderful visit and we miss them so (as well as the rest of the family). It's always nice to have family visit and be the host. Mom was in a great mood (I think that she's over Disney for now) and the best part was no fights!
